Won’t you be my neighbor?

Jul 5, 2011

Hey, who feels like buying a house in one of the sweetest little neighborhoods in Iowa City? There are a crapload of houses for sale in our neighborhood, and I while we’re really going to miss some of the wonderful neighbors we’ve found, it wouldn’t be such a bad thing to rejuvenate our little patch of the city and get some new blood. We’re a couple of the youngest people on the street, after all, and while there were tons of neighborhood kids around when Kevin was growing up in the house, there aren’t so many nowadays. We need a youth injection on the street. Here’s a few of the options:

2 bedroom, 1 bath, 1100 square feet, $120k

3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1500 square feet, $225k

3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, 1500 square feet, $225k

And here are a few more on neighboring streets:

3 bedroom, 2 baths, 1200 square feet, $205k

2 bedroom, 1 bath, 1000 square feet, $207k

2 bedroom, 1 bath, 1500 square feet, $189k

And if you’re looking for something a little more fancy, there’s a Summit Street mansion for sale!

4 bedroom, 3 bath, 3100 square feet, $465k and on its way down

So, who’s ready to move in?

  • Wow! Those are nicely priced. We have been shopping for a place in our area and I wish those where the prices we were looking at.

Iowa City’s real estate prices are pretty high compared to the rest of the state. You can’t beat the charm and culture, though!
